Description:
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Director, Click SE™ to join our Business Development team. This role is responsible for request for proposal (RFP) generation with pharma to create software-enhanced dosage forms of their drugs.
This position can be based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities or at our industrious office in Boston, MA. We have a hybrid working model that consists of at least 3 days in office each week.
Responsibilities:
RFP Generation & Qualification:
- Identify decision-makers within target markets.
- Qualify leads to assess needs and business potential.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospects in the CRM.
Software-Enhanced Drugs™ Pipeline Development:
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of BD opportunities with pharma to create software-enhanced dosage forms of their drugs.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop strategies for growing the software-enhanced drugs™ RFP pipeline.
Networking & Relationship Building:
- Actively participate in networking events, trade shows, webinars, and industry meetups to build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential partners and customers.
Collaboration with BD & Marketing Teams:
- Work closely with marketing to align RFP generation activities with the company’s overall marketing strategy.
- Coordinate with the BD team to transition qualified RFPs smoothly and effectively.
- Share market insights, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to help refine product offerings and messaging.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 15+ years of experience in life sciences industry required.
- Proven experience in a similar RFP generation, pre-sales, or business development role.
- Strong understanding of the sales process and pipeline development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead generation tools.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
