Description:
The Business Development Director– Oil & Gas will be charged with developing opportunities relative to Oil & Gas (O&G). Understand the critical market dynamics driving investment and promote product solutions for Oil & Gas markets. Identify applications, products, customers, and channel partners. Leverage existing products and utilize 80/20 to identify key areas of focus to support the product engineering team in new product development activities.
Position is fully remote- Ideally Houston, TX Area
Essential Duties:
- Expand presence in the Oil & Gas market by working with EPCs and end customers.
- Develop and execute business development opportunities to drive growth in the targeted end markets.
- Analyze the current market position, i.e., the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Identifies gaps and in collaboration with VP Energy, implements strategies to improve market positioning.
- Provide leadership to the products team that appropriately reflects the business unit’s goals.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities and coordinating new product development.
- Work in collaboration with engineering to develop new products in growth markets.
- Facilitates successful implementation of new product introductions by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place focused on capturing the voice of the customer.
- Implement strategic initiatives by collaborating with internal Sales and Product teams.
- Establishes pricing strategies in coordination with the Product Manager and/or VP of Energy by analyzing trends and results, monitoring costs, and evaluating market conditions.
- Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement. Works closely with the operations team to maximize efficiency and drive world-class customer service.
- Domestic and International Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners

Education and Experience Preferred:
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
- A minimum of ten years of business-to-business sales experience is required, with at least 5 years of strategic sales or business development experience in a related field.
