The role of business development director is central to Highwire’s mission of attracting the best possible clients through the development of personal relationships, customized content and presenting compelling solutions to meet our prospects’ most pressing strategic communications and digital marketing challenges.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain Target Account Lists for each practice group
- Support proactive outreach between the agency and key prospects - ensure regular contact between the agency and priority targets
- Work with practice teams to develop suitable outreach content
- Develop and update new sales collateral (case studies, RFI/RFP templates, website case studies)
- Manage and attend initial meetings with new prospects
- Work with BD executive to coordinate and support proposals/presentations/pitches
- Manage our business development executives and oversee their day-to-day responsibilities
- Manage weekly updates to the business, including weekly sales calls for each practice, weekly sales calls for leadership, and monthly sales reviews for leadership (owner of scheduling, agenda, notes, and follow-up actions)
- Own the new business budget across net new business and organic growth, meet regularly with finance to ensure data is up to date and to track progress against goals
- Coordinate with our marketing director to ensure new opportunities driven by our ABM program are followed up, relationship maps developed and support High-Value Offer Creation

- At least 7 years experience in business development/sales/marketing role

- Consistently hit deadlines or give enough notice if you won’t.
