Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Grow Heavy Specialized revenue by working with each Agent to promote Landstar's Heavy Specialized freight, provide training as needed on heavy haul pricing tools and resources
- Assist agents with identifying customer heavy specialized needs.
- Identify and support agent training opportunities within assigned region.
- Establish open lines of communication with regional management to explore growth opportunities and provide information.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to monitor Heavy Specialized agent revenue and customer information to be shared with region management.
- Communicate with every agent in your region daily, weekly, monthly as required by their needs, follow up on missed freight opportunities, and determine process improvements.
- Instruct and counsel Agents and Capacity who have questions about Over Dimensional and Landstar policies and procedures
- Handle large volume of inbound and outbound calls
- Develop working relationship and adhere to interaction protocol with the dedicated Heavy Haul Corporate Account Executive
- Develop and retain a high level of understanding with the heavy haul pricing tools to promote efficiency
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of customer service in an office environment
Preferred Experience and Education:
- 1 year business development experience
- 6 months transportation experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of DOT and heavy haul guidelines
- Working knowledge of U.S. geography
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem resolution skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
