Business Development Assistant Manager

 

Description:

The Business Development Assistant Manager will be empowered and responsible for integrating the My GM Rewards Loyalty Program and My GM Rewards Mastercard into all aspects of internal business departments (20+) within GM and will need to manage business relations, technology roadmap working with Product teams, campaign deployment aspects and OKRs relative to growing those lanes of business.

In addition, this individual will need to be familiar with GM’s credit card business and longer term be able to assume additional responsibilities for potential new credit card lines of business development as well as any external emerging partnership work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day to day operations impacting integration of My Rewards with GM’s internal business partners, including, but not limited to, OnStar, OnStar Insurance, GM Financial, Accessories, E-commerce and GM Energy teams.
  • Advocate for program inclusion with outside business groups pertaining to the base GM Rewards program as well as the GM Rewards Credit card programs
  • Run monthly (or as needed) meetings with business partners
  • Support Rewards OKRs and help to develop partner OKRs that will drive their business goals
  • Develop campaign offerings with business partners to drive additional member earning and redemption opportunities
  • Synthesize data and insights to optimize email/campaign performance for partners and overall program
  • Work collaboratively with Program Managers to prioritize IT releases for business integration needs and provide data points to support project investment
  • Lead current Small Business Credit card portfolio work, including new acquisitions, engagement communications and integration in the dealer channel to deliver additional profitability
  • Work on future partnership development outside of internal GM business units to provide value for program and members
  • Lead future credit card portfolio development work, including strategy, business case, value proposition and marketing/launch timing to deliver profitability to the Loyalty Line of Business.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Highly developed presentation skills both in the development and delivery of presentation
  • Familiarity with GM’s credit card portfolio and new product development implementations
  • Familiarity with loyalty/rewards programs
  • Ability to travel on an infrequent, as needed basis
