CGI is looking for a Director of Business Development to play a key role on the leadership team in our Nashville, TN office. This person will be driving new business through building and fostering new client relationships with business and technical executives in the Nashville marketplace. Your future duties and responsibilities
- Represent CGI in the Nashville Technology community through active participation and leadership in local technology organizations.
- Lead local marketing efforts including organizing CGI participation in local conferences and technology community events
- Work with internal stakeholders and marketing staff to develop new solutions and marketing initiatives
- Prospect for new potential clients, develop relationships, and present CGI capabilities through calls, email, social media, networking, and in-person contact
- Identify new opportunities, actively market and sell CGI service solutions, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts within new and growing accounts
- Maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities
- Participate in developing and maintaining Account Plans to include general account and organization information, decision makers, technologies, and penetration strategy
- Communicate with clients regarding pricing, scheduling, invoice payments, and other issues and include other CGI staff as appropriate
- Maintain up-to-date prospect and client information in appropriate CGI systems
- Remain current on CGI services and products, as well as general methodologies and practices, and suggest new products/services gathered from sales activities
- It is expected that within 6 months of the Director start date, there would be a demonstrated positive trend in relationship building, opportunities won, and new client growth
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 5+ years of experience in new account acquisition and executive management relationship building with a demonstrated track record of success in the technology professional services space
- Ability to build key relationships with client executives (VPs, SVPs, CxOs, etc.) and within CGI
- Ability to build, execute and maintain new client penetration and development strategies and plans
- Strong oral and written communication skills. This role will need to be able to communicate appropriately with key stakeholders and multiple teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, MIS, or related field required, M.B.A. desirable
- Excellent presentation skills
- High attention to detail and ability to learn and understand technical concepts
- Professional consulting experience is a plus
- Good problem solving and reading comprehension skill
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of IT development processes
- Industry knowledge in one or more of the following: Manufacturing, Banking and Financial Services, Retail and Consumer Services, and/or Healthcare Providers
- Travel is limited to the Nashville metro area
