Description:

Business Development and Recruiting Management (55%):

Establish and execute strategies to grow the Career Center’s network of recruiting contacts on a national and global level. Ensure target companies are in alignment with strategic direction of the school and desired industries and functions of our students.
Collaborate with Sr. Associate Director to develop annual business development plan for increasing recruiting in target areas.
Develop strategy for partnering with companies to identify new opportunities for international students to work in the US.
Build relationships with external placement agencies and recruiters that specialize in industries of interest to our students.
Maintain current knowledge of the graduate and undergraduate employment markets, recruiting trends, and hiring practices for target companies and industries.
Develop and expand relationships with recruiters, company representatives, and alumni with local and national companies with a focus on identifying new opportunities for the Career Center and our students.
Participate in recruiting efforts in key US cities as determined by Director and Sr. Associate Director.
Partner with Sr. Associate Director to conduct account planning meetings each spring and summer with local on-campus recruiting partners to discuss hiring needs for the upcoming academic year and to present opportunities for participation in career events.
Track and analyze data on past and current companies that have employed students and provided summer internships. Make recommendations for new company development.
Work with Sr. Associate Director to track business development activity in CRM System. Review progress monthly and evaluate target companies annually.
Identify and actively participate in industry/function-specific conferences and professional association meetings and events.
Marketing and Events (15%):

Participate in the development, planning and implementation of events designed to connect employers with students, including Career Exploration Conferences, Coffee with BD, Corporate Receptions, Career Fairs, local and national company Site Visits, and Student Treks.
Manage and conduct market research on existing and potential employment markets for Carlson School students.
Serve as a partner to employers in planning appropriate events for their respective student target populations.
Create custom reports in career site to analyze on campus recruiting results.
Partner with Marketing Services to develop annual Career Center communications and reports.
Attend Recruiter Advisory Council meetings and work with the Sr. Assoc. Director and the team to help with event preparation and execution.
Partner with Admissions to assist with student recruiting events and ensure that there are company sponsors and/or companies in attendance.
Take an active role in entering and following up on leads generated by conferences and networking events.
Student Services (15%):

Develop relationships with student clubs to ensure that students’ needs are identified and met. Include club leaders on event preparation (including local and national company site visits) and execution to provide opportunities for employer involvement with students.
Provide company information and contact support to individual students or to student organizations to assist them in job searches or event planning.
Meet with students one-on-one when necessary to share contacts and strategize on their job searches.
Develop and assist with a communication plan to ensure that students are aware of the Business Development team’s efforts and offer an opportunity for student input, specifically with the Coffee with BD events.
Assist with planning and leading student treks to target cities. Work with Sr. Associate Director to develop annual trek plan based on students’ interests and industry locations.
Participate in student program(s) tracking meetings. As students are identified as needing further assistant in their job search, take action to assist them in developing job leads and/or send out resume books to appropriate contacts.
Partner with coaching team(s) to design and execute relevant career programming for all student populations.
Collaborate with career coaching team in the Fall and Spring to develop project work for students
Operations, Leadership, Management, and Special Projects (15%):

Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of Business Development, Employer Relations, and other key activities of the career center.
Serve on appropriate school-wide committees.
Assist Director with ranking surveys by providing company contact information and recruiting statistics.
Assist Business Development Associate with on-campus recruiting logistics and account management meetings.
Develop and present creative and innovative ideas to the team to improve business development plan, on-campus recruitment operations and employer experience, student engagement and collaboration across departments.
Complete special projects as assigned.
