Buildout is on a tear. In the last two years, we've acquired several companies, launched a half a dozen new products, and further established our customer-centric brand as the go-to for commercial real estate brokers. With over 100% net retention and thousands of happy customers, we're just getting started.
With all that new product growth and opportunity, we need an experienced BDR Manager to be the tip of the spear in our customer communications and a leader on our Revenue team. Your job is to grow topline revenue by managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to generate meetings and pipeline for our Account Executive team to close. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will set the bar for a very strong sales team that values collaboration, teamwork, and performance. You'll be expected to lead innovation in our business development process, drive results and accountability from your team members, and be a change agent, creating strategic plans to mature and uplevel our sales approach. You'll also get to work with a set of Revenue leaders across marketing, sales, account management, implementation, and customer success who come complete with bad jokes and great ideas.

How You'll Contribute at Buildout

  • You will lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team of BDRs. You will plan ahead and constantly think through recruitment strategy to reduce impact on pipeline generation when the individuals on your team inevitably get promoted.
  • You will take ownership of your assigned revenue and meeting generation targets within the net new sales org.
  • You will own and manage performance to all key metrics, regularly reporting trends and identifying areas for improvement to revenue leadership team
  • You will multiply yourself; You will train your team members to become better, self-reliable sellers by mentoring and coaching them to support their career development.
  • You will maximize the life of a BDR, getting them up and running quickly and making their experience so good that they consistently perform in the role until the next door opens for them.
  • You will bring new ideas and support the rollout and adoption of our sales methodology practice
  • You will support the rollout and success of our product packaging, ensuring reps are using the messaging and that prospect feedback is being circled to Revenue Leadership and our Product teams
  • You will own and craft your part of the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring consistency with the other parts of their journey and a stellar customer experience.
  • You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams to successfully deliver on pipeline generation goals
  • You will develop skills and character that will propel you into a successful career in Revenue leadership
  • You will take the work, but not yourself, seriously
