Within the Partner Ecosystem Success (PES) organization, the Software Partner Portfolio Team is responsible for developing, designing, and driving new partner deals, mapped to SAP’s most important strategic priorities and programs, for SAP’s product & platform portfolio. The team drives alignment across SAP Board Areas for horizontal topics where software might be most relevant – Platform & Cloud Strategy, Commerce Marketplaces, Cloud Acceleration, Digital Innovation, etc. The Software Partner Portfolio Team has a unique business strategy, technology strategy and commercial focus that actualizes work with market-leading partnerships.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In support of the team’s mandate, the Strategic Software Partner Solution Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead and drive partner identification, partner recruitment and partner incubation in support of SAP’s strategies to sustain and grow SAP’s competitive position in the market.
  • Engage with market participants (software, hardware and service companies, Venture Capitalists, Private Equity firms, etc.) to identify and assess relevant ecosystem partnering opportunities for SAP, and scale SAP’s brand recognition and presence in the industry.
  • Define our competitive advantage and establish the key reasons for customers and prospects to leverage cloud deployment models and other innovative technologies to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Work on specific projects with a specific focus on creating industry leading points of view on how SAP can differentiate itself in the marketplace with partners.
  • Develop well thought out business cases for new partnering/investment decisions based on white-space analysis and market trends for newer technology areas relevant to SAP’s strategy.
  • Advise and make recommendations to the Executive team on how to enhance SAP’s presence with large global technology players including leveraging the technology from these players to enhance SAP’s platform & product focus.
  • Take a leadership role in ensuring that best in class business management processes are in place and will identify and implement changes to improve its performance. Regular reporting for ongoing work is imperative to success in the role.
  • Tightly manage ecosystem delivery and GTM success and contribution
  • Guide ecosystem sub streams like GTM execution, marketing positioning & messaging, communications, enablement, revenue & investment planning & execution, etc.
