Northern Gear & Machining in Muskego, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Business Developer to join our team. The individual in this role will assist company growth and profitability through new customer acquisition, as well as increasing current customer spend.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential customers.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Coordinate with sales and management team to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms with customers and communicate with sales and management team.
- Monitor project terms to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
- Make and give presentations to prospective customers.
- Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Track and report on the status of proposal components.
- Conduct ongoing market research.
- Drive the end-to-end sales process.
- Prepare and submit sales contracts.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work out of a home office.
- Ability to travel to customers and potential customers several times a week.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years field experience in a fast paced and competitive B2B market.
- Ability to work under daily / weekly deadlines in a fast-changing work environment.
- Credibility in selling at all levels and evidence of building strong relationships.
- Driven and competitive with a strong desire to overachieve.
- Passion for increasing customer happiness and deepening customer relationships.
- Knowledge of production metal machining.
