Description:
The Business Analyst III facilitates the formulation of technology solutions via the methodical investigation, analysis, review, and documentation of functional business specifications. Works with solutions development teams, architects, and end users to gather enhancement requirements, document procedures and reporting needs, research solution opportunities, and determine value proposition from deliverables. The associate manages the requirements development process through from an end-to-end perspective and supports the ongoing management and refinement of those requirements. Prepares and maintains technical documentation including flow charts, models, and procedures, user guides, scorecards and reporting to assist with the ongoing operation and maintenance of technology solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyzes business needs to determine business and technical requirements and identifies impacted areas/systems/processes and evaluates alternative solutions.
- Design, develop, documents, test or support modification of technology solutions.
- Prepares detailed system requirements and assists in functional design solutions for new products/functionality and enhancements to existing products/functionality
- Provide oversight and final review of design specification
- Provides input into forecasting and project-planning for scope/requirements documents and/or vendor contracts to minimize risk to on time, cost effective solution fulfillment.
- Leads a systematic process for capturing requirements.
- Develops value-based business and cost models related for solution enhancements.
- Works with partners to capture requirements in a standard format that can serve as the foundation for developing technical documentation.
- Analyzes current system targeted for replacement/enhancement to determine business and technical functions to be included in design.
- Reviews design documents to ensure that they clearly explain the work expectations.
- Prepare technical documentation and deliverables including flow charts, models, and procedures, user guides, scorecards and reporting.
Qualifiications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or related business field required.
- 3-5 years experience supporting IT project or financial management processes in an agile context, i.e. SAFe
- Experience in IT project management in both waterfall and agile project methodology portfolios.
