Benefits Specialist

 

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain all global employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.

  • Assist in the benefits enrollment and termination processes, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and changes in the HRIS.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues and providing guidance on plan options and coverage.

  • Manage relationships with benefits providers, ensuring accurate billing, compliance with contracts, and quality service delivery.

  • Support the annual open enrollment process, including communications, presentations, and system updates.

  • Conduct regular audits of benefits-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist with leave management, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability.

  • Use data to drive critical insights and decisions for benefits.

  • Assist with coordination and administration of onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Support the People Operations team in projects related to employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives, ensuring that benefits are integrated into overall people strategies.

  • Ensure policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals, and in compliance with professional standards and state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.


Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.

  • Experience with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.

  • Experience maintaining and protecting confidential data.

  • Familiarity with employment compliance and regulations.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
