Aston Carter is seeking a Vice President of Banking Operations for a client based in Rosemont, IL.
- Description:*
- Key Responsibilities:*
- Accountable for driving transformational change, operational excellence, employee and client experience across Bank Operations
- Lead team of approximately 70 professionals to ensure day to day execution is performed in compliance with regulatory guidance, policies and procedures
- Partner and/or lead initiatives across the organization to analyze and implement new systems. This includes change readiness, execution and sustainment plans.
- Day to Day Leadership:*
- Define and implement capacity/staffing models and commensurate operations structure and processes to support operating businesses
- Ensure daily processes and activities are completed timely and accurately inclusive of management measurement/tracking and monitoring (e.g. Key Performance and Risk Indicators)
- Continuously improve processes and leverage best practices to transform “what” we do and “how” we do it
- Managerial Leadership:*
- Proactively support continuous learning opportunities and ensure all employees have career conversations and development plans to continue to grow internal talent
- Establish clear goals and objectives and provide consistent feedback on performance including formal reviews, conducting regular 1/1s and team meetings, including skip level
- Focus on inclusion and employee experience to improve overall Employee Engagement
- Hire, develop and retain top talent
- Strategic Initiatives/Partnerships:*
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships across all disciplines to drive collaborative approach
- Skills:* compliance, regulatory, financial services, customer experience, risk management, Bank operations, transformations, six sigma, lean six sigma, deposit verification
- Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
- Education Required: Bachelors’ Degree required. Ideally, Business, Communications, Psychology. Open to someone with no degree but great experience.
- Years of experience: 10+ years’ experience in financial services, specifically in the areas of operations, customer experience and risk management/controls;
- Systems/applications: Specialized Banking systems preferred, FIS, etc.
- Nice to Have Requirements*
- Business Process Transformation (lean/six sigma) experience preferred.
- Direct Deposit Operations experience.
