Auditor

Description:

Under the direction of the Audit Manager, this Individual Contributor position performs detailed audit reviews to support Valmont’s annual internal audit plan and other projects. This position is responsible for assisting in planning, fieldwork, and reporting of various audit entities and providing recommendations for the improvement of internal, operational, and management control systems. The nature of this position requires strong collaboration with internal business partners as well as external business partners including external audit firms.

Essential Functions
 

• This position reports to the Audit Manager and has no direct or indirect reports.
• This role requires up to 25% travel (internationally and domestically), including overnight stays.
• Assess and communicate the results of assigned audit areas and projects for accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Investigate and determine the root cause of control weaknesses.
• Consult with management to develop timely and achievable remediation plans.
• Develop effective relationships with team members and business partners.
• Seek and identify areas of process improvement.
