Description:
The Audiovisual Production Specialist is responsible for supporting public programming and special events in the Museum's Oprah Winfrey and Robert F. Smith Family Pavilion theaters.
In this position, you will:
- coordinate and support audio / visual multimedia programs that highlight the museum's collection, exhibitions, research activities, and other initiatives for public programs, educational programs, special events, fundraising events, and SI community events held within the museum's theaters and other public performance spaces.
- perform configuration, operation, and maintenance of a variety of hardware and software needed to effectively deliver special events and programs to the public in-person and online.
- evaluate, assess, and troubleshoot minor repairs on analog and digital audio / visual equipment, hardware, and software to project, amplify, record, and present multiple forms of media; may include but is not limited to live and pre-recorded audio, film, video, digital cinema package, digital video and audio files, PowerPoint presentations and digital slideshows.
- procure services, equipment, and supplies, and manage contracts for media production services and for upgrades, installation and maintenance of multimedia systems used to support public programs and special events. Ensure the protection, security and maintenance of production video, audio, and editing equipment, hardware, software, and supplies.
