Duties

As the Audiovisual Production Specialist, you will:

  • Produce, record and edit video and multimedia projects that highlight the collections, programs, events, research activities and other initiatives for communication outreach, fundraising, marketing, education, research and external media.
  • Work collaboratively with program and project teams to plan, assemble, create and author video and multimedia content for publication on digital platforms and on-site exhibits.
  • Create original animations for use in videos, social media, web, and other digital initiatives.
  • Provide overall production supervision, including preparations for production, to ensure that lighting, sets, sound, camera angles, visuals and special audio and visual effects including graphic art, computer graphics, analog and digital effects, motion picture film, stock footage, ambient sound where needed and background music are used effectively.
  • Inventory and manage equipment and supplies for video and multimedia projects, and ensure equipment is properly maintained and kept in good repair.
  • Manage and maintain a master editorial calendar and content production workflow, ensuring that overall frequency is consistent and appropriate, and that all digital content is in line with Si and Unit standards and goals.
