Description:
Wagner College, a Division I Northeast Conference member in Staten Island, NY, is hiring a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Facilities and Operations. This role reports to the Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations, assisting in the supervision of all athletic events and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing athletic and special events, including staffing, facility setup, and scheduling.
- Oversee game management for multiple varsity programs.
- Serve as liaison for visiting teams and officials, ensuring smooth coordination.
- Help in scheduling practices and events across all athletic facilities.
- Support marketing, ticketing, and other departments with game day operations.
- Address coaches’ facility and operational needs, including troubleshooting video boards, scoreboards, shot clocks, and A/V systems.
- Submit work orders for maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial requirements.
- Coordinate event logistics with Campus Security.
- Serve as a vendor liaison for athletic events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-2 years of experience in collegiate athletics (Facilities & Event Operations experience preferred).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs.).
- Strong management, leadership, and communication skills.
