Summary of Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual vocal lessons focusing on technique, breath control, pitch, tone, and expression.
- Provide warm-up exercises, vocal drills, and tailored vocal exercises.
- Offer constructive feedback, guidance, and support to enhance students' vocal skills and performance abilities.
- Develop personalized lesson plans and repertoire for each student.
- Assist in organizing studio events, recitals, and performances.
- Commit to ongoing professional development in vocal pedagogy, industry trends, and techniques.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and growth.
- Keep accurate records of student progress, attendance, and lesson schedules.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience teaching one-on-one voice lessons (minimum one year).
- Background in music/singing, with completion of a music certificate, degree, training program, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of vocal tract physiology and function.
- Ability to assess vocal issues and offer healthy solutions.
- Knowledge in vocal styling and improvisation.
- Basic piano skills for scales and exercises.
- Confidence in singing and performing in front of others.
- Understanding of basic music theory.
