Associate Software Engineer

 

Description:

As an Associate Software Engineer, a typical day will include the following:

  • Develop software that delights users and empowers Manufacturing

  • Understand hardware and software interactions in a test system.

  • Collaborate with product experts to understand requirements to design and build quality test solutions

  • Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes

  • Understand industry trends in manufacturing test processes and recommend prudent adoption strategies.

  • Relentlessly improve the experience of your software users

  • Serve as a technical contact for internal customers.

  • Thoroughly investigate and diagnose complex software issues reported by users or escalated from others

  • Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • Understand. Create. Simplify.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This job might be for you if you have:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar equivalent

  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Embedded systems firmware development including Real-time firmware design, C and assembly languages

  • Object-oriented design with any Object-oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java)

  • Embedded Linux systems development including C, C++, Python

  • Other scripting languages

  • Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL

  • Negative drug test result(s)
