Associate Registrar

Description:

The Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, seeks an Assistant or Associate Registrar to join the Registration/Collections team. This position joins the Registrar, Associate Registrar, and Curator of Collections and is a key contributor to a variety of tasks related to the storage, maintenance, care, and loan of works in the Hood Museum's collection of over 68,000 artworks. In addition to record management, inventory projects, digitization, and conservation, this position supports the Registrar with registration duties for permanent collection exhibitions an d supports and/or manages loans from the permanent collection. Preferred candidates will display a commitment to serving the needs of diverse academic and community stakeholders, have experience in registration methods, working knowledge of collections database software, and strong organizational skills.
