Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology to begin in August 2025. This position is part of a department-wide initiative focusing on health-related fields. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a closely related discipline, with preference given to those conducting research in health- or mental-health-related areas (broadly defined).

The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to research, teaching, and service. TCU embraces a teacher-scholar model, seeking faculty who value collaborative teaching and research within a collegial department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Instruct undergraduate and graduate-level courses in psychology, particularly aligned with the candidate’s expertise. Course responsibilities may shift based on departmental needs.

  2. Research:

    • Develop and maintain an active research lab.

    • Publish in top-tier journals and present findings at national and international conferences.

    • Mentor undergraduate and PhD students in research.

    • Seek extramural funding to support ongoing research (required for tenure).

    • A competitive start-up package will be provided.

  3. Service & Advising:

    • Serve on departmental, college, or university-level committees.

    • Participate in academic advising and service contributions aligned with departmental goals.
