Located only 15 minutes east of downtown Kansas City, this job serves as the key Human Resource (HR) contact and the Face of HR department. The role serves ~350 hourly team members in the areas of employee engagement, employee relations, change management, performance management, salary reviews, affirmative action plan management, supports union negations and collective bargaining agreements, leads ways of working interventions and onboarding to name a few.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach and counsel employees, front line leaders, and managers on employee relation matters
  • Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) fairly amongst all collective bargaining members.
  • Conduct investigations including write-ups, legal conversations, and counselling.
  • Anticipate people trends, Monitor employee climate (UniVoice), identify issues and embed solutions it into HR Strategy
  • Manage escalation of HR support issues through to resolution while maintaining effective communication with all affected stakeholders
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve employee engagement.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ Years of Manufacturing/Factory HR experience; 1+ years of experience in a union setting preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Ability and willingness to work off shifts as needed and have stable schedule that provides support for third shift team members.
  • Solid Knowledge and navigation experience of employment law and standard business integrity principles
  • Action-oriented to initiate appropriate resources and tools to ensure delivery on key HR processes.
  • Ability to flex schedule as needed to accomplish duties and travel as needed to field locations across North America
