Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gift Solicitation:
· Identify and cultivate relationships with individuals capable of making gifts in the specified range.
· Develop and implement solicitation strategies tailored to each donor's interests and philanthropic goals.
· Personally solicit gifts and manage the entire gift solicitation process.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential major donors.
· Create personalized stewardship plans to ensure ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
· Keep donors informed about the impact of their contributions and the museum's achievements.
Collaboration:
· Work collaboratively with the development team to align major gift strategies with overall fundraising goals.
· Coordinate with other museum departments to provide donors with unique and exclusive experiences.
· Organize and manage an annual major donor trip that generates revenue.
Database Management:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in Raiser’s Edge database.
· Generate reports and analysis to track major gift progress and trends.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, arts administration, or a related field.
· Proven track record of successfully soliciting and closing major gifts.
· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems; proficiency in Raiser's
Edge or similar software is advantageous.
· Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
