J.S. Held, a globally recognized consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead and shape project support initiatives within its Real Estate, Operations, and Financial Consulting division. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on project engagement, involving a variety of responsibilities across financial analysis, real estate, operational project management, and client consulting.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of real estate operations and finance or the ability to quickly grasp complex consulting projects. This role also requires travel up to 40% for on-site client engagements, where direct operational oversight is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support in real estate operations, project management, and financial analysis.
- Build and implement detailed financial models and cash flow forecasts.
- Actively contribute to restructuring, turnaround efforts, wind-downs, and sell-side M&A processes.
- Prepare professional operational assessments, court reports, and client presentations.
- Conduct thorough due diligence and provide strategic recommendations for complex transactions.
- Collaborate directly with senior leadership and client stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets across multiple industries.
- Drive process improvements and promote operational excellence across projects.
- Contribute to refining internal procedures and methodologies to enhance project execution.
- Apply proactive problem-solving and quick decision-making in high-pressure environments.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards and professional credibility across all engagements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in relevant fields such as financial analysis, audit (Big 4 preferred), banking, corporate finance, distressed asset consulting, or restructuring.
- Proven leadership ability with experience in managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering results in complex environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% for client site visits.
- Preferred: Experience in corporate finance, banking, consulting, or accounting.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CTP, or CIRA are a plus.
- Highly motivated, self-starter mentality with strong initiative and proactive approach.
- Ability to thrive in time-sensitive environments, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
