Description:
The Impact: S&P Global’s Strategy, M&A and Partnerships group has an opening in its Strategic Alliances team for an experienced professional to drive revenue and growth with certain Key Partners primarily for S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division in the Americas . The successful candidate will oversee certain key partner relationships to retain revenue, manage and expand existing relationships, and drive revenue growth by developing strategies for complex key partnerships that span across the divisions of S&P Global Market Intelligence. The Key Partnerships group within Strategic Alliances works closely with relationship management, legal, sales, business development and leadership teams to ensure the identified goals of partnerships are strategically aligned. This position will report to the Strategic Alliances Team Lead for the Americas region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, analyzing white space and product knowledge to optimize partner engagement strategy.
Achieve revenue retention and new business/revenue KPIs (including S&P Global/IHS merger related revenue synergy identification and achievement).
Develop deep knowledge of S&P Global products and the partner ecosystem in order to drive complex partner integration, redistribution, and other engagements while identifying and proposing new business opportunities.
Penetrate partner organizations across different functions and levels to establish, maintain and develop key partner relationships, with a focus on senior level engagement to influence new opportunities.
Lead high impact deals and represent S&P Global externally in new business development and key partnership negotiations.
Business Competencies & Skills:
5-10 years of relevant work experience with a B.A. or higher degree
Experience with partner licensing frameworks including proficiency in deal structuring and deal execution
Commercial and legal awareness related to the management of complex 3rd party relationships
Collaborative team player with high motivation and ability to drive successful results in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of financial services, fintech and data landscape (preference for experience in these areas)
Strong communication and drafting skills
Experience with and understanding of data and intellectual property licensing frameworks and arrangements
Adept at building and maintaining trusted and credible relationships with partners and colleagues at all levels, particularly at senior/executive levels
Highly motivated individual with the ability to partner and influence decisions among colleagues across functions
Engaging and credible presence
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Strong initiative and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced business environment
