Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Visual Communications and Graphic Design
- The Associate Creative Director is responsible for setting the bar for the development of all visual marketing communications and making sure that the quality of product is preserved from concept to production.
- Design chops to transform a great idea into a visual masterpiece that communicates the right message in the right way and to the right audience based on the brief and strategy developed by the team.
- These should not only be visually arresting but help deliver the right message in the most effective way ensuring it elevates the brand while adhering to brand standards and brand personality.
- Works with the team to ensure the work delivers on the strategy, determines the effectiveness of the work after it has been activated, and uses the learnings to make the necessary adjustments and improvements to future work.
- Designs for a wide variety styles for necessary mediums and channels that correspond to the client’s needs and provide appropriate direction to team members.
- Get your hands dirty, but don’t get stuck in the weeds. Pitches in and helps whenever and wherever needed, but this should not come at the expense of the development and productivity to other team members.
- Monitors projects through all phases of production.
- Effectively handles multiple assignments at one time and adhere to client budget and time constraints.
Concepting and Idea Development
- The Associate Creative Director routinely leads concepting and development of creative solutions that effectively communicate the strategic intent of an assignment and solves the client’s business and marketing challenges.
- Interacts with members of the creative team, especially Creative Directors and Copywriters, to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s) and presents them to internal team members.
- Possesses solid understanding of the market dynamics and challenges of the medical and higher education categories.
- Presents new ideas to members of the team.
Mentorship
- Ensures that the Art Directors are learning, growing, and getting better every single day. Mentors and responsible for their development and growth.
- Oversees the Art Directors and Production Artists and ensures a high level of quality for all work produced.
- Talent to inspire and motivate team members, and ultimately the target consumer with great visual design.
