Description:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ideate spontaneously across a broad range of areas and translate ideas and abstract concepts into visual materials that support the brand and its product strategies. The position requires a strong graphic design and production background with skills in typography, branding, and advertising/marketing. The position would also require the candidate to clearly communicate these ideas to cross-functional partners. A retail background is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Creative Director to develop design concepts and directions for marketing materials including pitch decks, campaigns and multiple projects.
- Make conceptual and stylistic decisions.
- Create layouts, mockups and prototypes to illustrate design ideas to other members of the team or management.
- Oversee multiple design projects at one time.
- This will include creating teams, creating timelines, overseeing design direction, ensuring all deadlines are met, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the duration of the project.
- Act as quality control for their projects by reviewing and editing team's final products before distribution of any materials occurs.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and social media fads is important for Associate Creative Directors.
- Research marketing trends and strategies and the technologies used in advertising practices.
- Recognize their intended audience and the best strategies for reaching said target.
- Be aware of what competitors are doing in order to create innovative and new designs and concepts.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Manager
- Ability to react quickly and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable of design practices such as, brand development, user-centered experience design and digital design.
- Understand art direction and post production of photographic and digital/printed materials and be able to communicate with and lead the internal team and corresponding vendors from start to finish.

- Fluent in Creative Suite, animation skills a plus.
- Understands concept development and brand strategy.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
- Knowledge of marketing practices.

- Experience supervising staff.
