Beasley Media Group is a multi-media agency specializing in providing innovative and comprehensive marketing solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Art Director to join our Digital Team. As the Associate Art Director, you will play a crucial role in organizing and centralizing designers from multiple markets, collaborating on diverse internal and external company and client projects. This position reports directly to the VP of Digital Operations.
As the Associate Art Director, you will oversee and collaborate with a team of in-house designers, video production artists, offshore resources, and the sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and guide the creative direction of digital projects, ensuring high-quality design deliverables and seamless execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, to drive innovation, enhance brand identity, and achieve overall business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide creative leadership: Collaborate with designers, video production artists, and offshore resources to develop compelling visual concepts and designs for digital projects.
- Team management: Organize and centralize designers from multiple markets, ensuring effective collaboration, resource allocation, and timely project delivery.
- Project collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design oversight: Ensure all design deliverables align with brand guidelines, industry standards, and client expectations. Provide feedback, guidance, and constructive criticism to maintain high-quality design outputs.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to develop innovative, visually appealing sales collateral and materials that align with client needs and maximize business opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the digital market.
- Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine internal design processes to optimize efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance overall productivity.
- Quality control: Perform regular reviews of design work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project objectives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a digital ops or digital marketing role.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a digital agency or creative studio environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital design, including web, mobile, social media, and multimedia projects.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present ideas and provide constructive feedback.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user-centered design principles.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
