Description:
The Department of Interior Design at the College of Design at Iowa State University (ISU) invites applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor in the area of Interior Design Education and Practice. The appointment is anticipated to begin on August 16, 2024, and the appointment will be for one academic year ending on May 15, 2025.
The department seeks candidates with academic or professional experience in Interior Design Studio education. The position will entail teaching in either the Bachelor or Master of Interior Design, CIDA-accredited programs.
The candidate is expected to establish a record of scholarship at the highest levels and contribute to the teaching missions at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should have strong communication skills, share our commitment to enhancing excellence, and exhibit the potential for long-term leadership in supporting the mission of the department, college, and university.

Master’s degree in interior design or related fields,

Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of relevant industry experience.
