Minimum Qualifications:
With submitted materials, the candidate must demonstrate
Master of Fine Arts degree, or related terminal degree, with an emphasis in Drawing or an allied field (i.e. Painting) from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of appointment.
Active and significant exhibition record with an artistic practice incorporating drawing
Demonstrated competency in employing and/or teaching drawing techniques
Evidence of excellence in inclusive teaching at the college level
Preferred Qualifications:
Two-years teaching experience beyond graduate school
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and/or mentoring undergraduate honors and/or graduate students including serving on or directing thesis committees
Demonstrated ability to develop effective undergraduate and graduate classes that complement the current course catalog
Evidence of capacity for university/professional service and/or commitment to broad community outreach
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings, with measurable contributions to collaborative projects, such collaborative art projects, joint research initiatives, or successful team-based problem-solving efforts
