Qualifications
Candidates are expected to hold, at a minimum, a terminal professional degree from an accredited institution. Their background will show impressive capability in architectural design responsive to contemporary building technologies, evidenced by studio teaching and/or architectural practice. The successful candidate will clearly articulate their future research and creative practice trajectory and their plans for contributing to the advancement of the field. We seek candidates who demonstrate a proficiency in using current and emerging software and technology for the modelling, simulation, and analysis of climate-responsive building systems.
Expertise and research ambition in the design implications of construction technologies, material innovation, building envelopes, statics, environmental controls, adaptation to climate change, and/or contemporary fabrication will be prioritized. The successful candidate will be expected to teach design studios and building technology courses related to their research at both the core and advanced levels of our undergraduate and graduate architecture curricula.
