Description:
The Assistant Director of Alumnae Professional Networks and Career Programs will be a close partner to the Director of Alumnae Professional Networks and Career Programs in developing strategies and programs that engage alums around their career and professional development, while deepening their engagement with Smith College. Through a focus on young alums of the College, the Asst. Dir. will research and identify the needs of this population and research best practices in service of career events, programming and communication. In service to young alum engagement, they will also develop strategies that build a bridge from the student to the young alum experience. Successful implementation of the Assistant Director’s work will involve their effective collaboration and communication with campus partners such as the Lazarus Center for Career Development, the Class Deans Offices, Office for Student Engagement, the GOLD alum lead within the Class Engagement and Annual Support Team, and our communications team. The Asst. Dir. will provide excellent customer service as a representative of the Office of Alumnae Relations. They will exemplify OAR values of professionalism, civility, and flexibility in daily interactions with staff, volunteers, and other members of the Smith community.
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses)
Bachelor's degree plus 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience with a clear record of accomplishment. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
