As an Assistant Center Director, you will play a key leadership role within a learning center, helping to foster a positive environment where children, families, and teaching staff thrive. You will work closely with the Center Director to achieve enrollment goals, maintain high standards of care, and build strong relationships with parents, teachers, and the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Center Director in managing day-to-day center operations, ensuring high standards of care and learning.
- Support teaching staff in delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and educational experiences.
- Partner with families to ensure children’s educational and developmental needs are met.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and corporate policies.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with parents, staff, community partners, and corporate leadership.
- Fill in as needed in roles such as teacher, cook, or driver to ensure seamless center operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education, with strong understanding of child development and classroom management.
- Strong administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for this role.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Physically capable of engaging with children at their level, ensuring safety and active participation.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate effectively with children and families.
