Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development and coordination and implementation of various programs for Metro Arts.
- Research and prepare reports and promotional materials such as press releases, brochures, annual reports newsletter etc.
- Graphic design and layout of newsletters using computer graphics software.
- Assist in the development and preparation for grant applications, technical assistance workshops, orientations and panel meetings.
- Respond to questions and requests from the public regarding Metro Arts Division programs.
- Prepare and maintain computerized database such as mailing lists, labels, and directories and project management tracking matrixes.
- Assist in preparing correspondence, minutes and materials for Metro Arts programs and meetings.
- Monitor contracts budgets, and payments with current grantees; conduct site visits as assigned.
- Process and monitor invoices and vouchers for grantees and other payments.
- Develop and maintain photo and slide/digital registries and archives as required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of outreach activities and technical assistance.
- Represent Program Coordinator and other staff at meetings, panels and community events as needed.
- Provide general clerical support.
- Oversee and/or supply graphic design as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Other related duties may also be performed; not all duties listed may necessarily be performed by each individual holding this classification.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
- Writing principles
- Research techniques, methods, and procedures
- Principles of Arts Administration
- Computer graphic design software
- English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Office procedures, methods, and equipment
- Record keeping principles and procedures.
- Basic principles of organizational planning.
- Community outreach, marketing, and training principles.
Ability to:
- Assist in developing and implementing programs
- Work with a wide range of individuals and groups
- Effectively speak to diverse public audiences.
- Work effectively in the public sector
- Assist in training and community outreach
- Coordinate all administrative aspects of program area
