Responsibilities
- Art directing, pitching, and developing unique concepts and setting the look of design direction, and leading teams to adhere to creative vision, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Drive large design projects independently by communicating with cross-functional teams to align goals and resources, mobilizing designers, and delivering final product to meet the project expectations.
- Utilize strong illustration, digital painting, and conceptual skills, as well as creative thinking, in designing, coloring, composing, and drafting production work.
- Create a wide range of original 2D artwork as well as concepts for characters and assets for creative AR effects.
- Work closely with leads to develop concept designs for various projects from cross-functional teams and internal/external proposals.
- Conduct research and create trend guides to support projects and concepts.
- Perform project updates, revisions, and maintenance as required.
- Communicate with the tech team to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of designs.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to junior artists.
Qualifications
Must have a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Art, Illustration, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Art, Illustration, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Illustration and digital painting using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate to create and design 2D characters, face filters, backgrounds, typography, environments, and props using a reference guide, style sheet, or art direction;
- Developing visual concepts of characters and environments and detailed digital paintings using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate; and
- Applying design, color, and composition principles to create 2D-based production work.
