We seek for our client an Architectural Project Manager to join their growing collaborative team in Tampa, FL. As the Architectural Project Manager position is a great opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients on diversified projects. The opportunity will be responsible for critical design, technical, and management components on each project. Bring your diverse project management experience or interest in commercial and residential design.
Core Responsibilities
Design and Technical
- Work in tandem with architects and designers to coordinate design development and construction documents (“CD’s”)
- Deliver clear explanations of design decisions to clients throughout all phases of design
- Direct production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration while ensuring quality control and achieving project goals
- Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and systems
- Coordinate engineering systems relevant to projects
- Review shop drawings, material samples, and CD's for conformance with design
- Conduct and document field observations to monitor the progress of construction
- Perform preconstruction and construction administration duties (e.g. schedules, RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.)
- Prepare reports and specifications; review completed reports, plans, cost estimates, and calculations.
- Execute applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.)
Management
- Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Develop and execute contracts between the company and outside consultants and clients for services
- Produce architectural budgets, task schedules, and other components of the project work plan
- Oversee the completion of construction documents, drawings, and specifications in compliance with project scope, schedule, and cost
- Implement meeting objectives, facilitate meetings and provide documentation records
- Participate and lead in project interviews, presentations, and client meetings
- Oversee architectural and interior design staff for relevant projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture, interior design or related field
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture or related field
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the field
- Strong project management skillset
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Candidates must have a mature personality, intellectual curiosity and the ability to complete work independently
- Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines under time constraints
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical
- Commitment to a high level of client service, including professional communication skills
