Architectural Designer

Our client, a large A/E firm, is seeking multiple architects to join their team at the VA Beach location office. The successful candidate will detail, organize, and coordinate technical designs to effectively execute architectural projects. Responsibilities include working on 1-2 projects concurrently, with project teams on projects valued between $20-30 million, primarily focusing on basebuilding for municipal and federal projects, with a current emphasis on local DOD projects. The role involves performing basic architectural tasks such as calculations, specifications, reports, and preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as needed. Under the supervision of the Supervising Architect, the candidate may independently perform advanced technical assignments of varying complexities within approved schedules and budgets. Additionally, the role includes coordinating technical and administrative activities with employees across disciplines and departments, assisting in the training and mentoring of architectural and design/drafting personnel, reviewing and approving conceptual designs, and may also contribute to the development of new architectural methods and techniques. The position requires spending 75% of the time in production and 25% in CA/Client facing scenarios.
