Duties

  • You will recommend strategies to eliminate obstacles to achieve program goals.
  • You will assign work to staff based on the contract requirements of facility construction objectives.
  • You will participate in multi-disciplinary in-house design teams.
  • You will provide technical landscape architectural training and mentoring for new and junior employees to increase their technical competency.
  • You will perform technical management and oversight on execution of multi-disciplinary design projects.
  • You will provide expert technical advice and direction, review and administration related to the planning, design, construction, testing, operation, maintenance and repairs for new and existing naval shore facilities.
  • You will provide day-to-day expert technical guidance and support in developing initial project documents plans, specifications, studies, reports, and other design work products.
  • You will formulate architectural and engineering project requirements in accordance with facilities construction guidelines.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
