Your responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks to design a motor in accordance with the customer requirements, ensuring that the solution is the most cost effective and reliable.
- Deliver professional proposals on time, including accurate pricing, full cost pricing that has been reviewed against the account strategy, and a scope of supply that meets the customer’s needs.
- Outline risk factors involved in the quotation that are not in the company’s best interest to the regional sales manager when required.
- Provide value with every transaction to differentiate ABB vs other competitors.
- Act as a technical resource in person or over the phone to customer for addressing, interpreting, and resolving of technical inquiries and problems related to assigned product lines.
- Solve technical and costing issues with the Global Customer Support Team.
- Proactively engages in initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the LSU (Local Sales Unit) and to increase customer satisfaction.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 2 years experience. Preferred Experience includes: SAP, SalesForce, experience with AC Induction Motors and/or Generators in various industries and applications including sales support.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, vendors, management, and other employees of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
