CHS Animal Nutrition in the Western South Dakota and Eastern Wyoming region has an exciting opportunity as an Animal Nutrition Sales Consultant. This remote opportunity will promote all aspects associated with the sales and services of products, solutions, and services to livestock producers and key wholesale dealer accounts. You must be self-motivated, customer focused, and a goal orientated sales representative with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Our lines of animal nutrition solutions deliver consistent, proven results that give ranchers and dealers a profit edge. In addition, the CHS animal nutrition sales team consults on diet design, livestock management, animal health, dealer & producer profitability, and more.


Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and execute territory strategy, partnering with internal and external business partners to achieve annual sales quota
  • Proactively manage existing and new customer relationships, ensuring CHS is the supplier of choice for animal nutrition solutions
  • Develop Payback Nutrition market share in the commercial cattle feeding segment by delivering innovative solutions and services based on leading industry trends
  • Effectively negotiate contracts with commercial livestock producers, independent nutritionists, and other strategic partners to pursue new business opportunities aligned AN growth strategy
  • Develop an optimal marketing plan in support of territory strategy, including but not limited to training programs, tradeshows, producer meetings, and retail campaigns
  • Enable feeding program development and/or provide direct nutrition consulting that precisely meet the producer’s needs and goals.
  • Guide best practices for sampling - ensure water, forage, grains, and feeds are tested regularly in order to provide the most accurate performance projections.
  • Quoting prices, credit terms, and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
     

Minimum Qualifications (required)
 

  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales and/or Business Development
  • Animal feed and/or beef experience
