The Team:
The S&P Global Platts Digital Platform & Machine Delivery Team are a creative, agile groups of experts who collaborate with commodity vertical product managers to drive innovation and evolution in digital platforms, mobile platforms, machine delivery mechanisms and user experience. We are now looking for a Product Manager to help the group executing on analytics-based web platform product roadmap.
The Impact:
We are seeking a Product Manager who will focus on executing the GIS product roadmap for the S&P Global Commodity Insights Real-Time Analytics platform within the Product Management team. This includes the development of our digital product offerings using Agile methodology and the delivery of products which bring tangible value to our customers across our platform including - web, mobile apps, and data feeds. In this role you will work with different business functions to refine and execute upon a customer-centric GIS roadmap using the Agile/Scrum framework.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the analytics GIS product strategy and roadmap, aligning with the business objectives and customer needs.
Champions Geospatial Analytics requirements across the business with a focus on the ability to add timing and location to traditional data types across big data including streaming data feeds.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, engineers, data scientists, and software developers, to identify and prioritize product features and enhancements.
Work with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and validate product requirements. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Create and maintain product documentation, including product specifications, user manuals, and release notes. Provide training and support to customers and internal teams, including product demos, training sessions, and technical support.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Geospatial Analytics: analytics-based mapping workflows, use-cases and requirements. Experience with Geospatial imagery types such as satellite images ideal.
5+ years of experience in GIS product management, preferably in the upstream industry. Strong knowledge of GIS software and technologies, including ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenLayers and web mapping APIs.
Experience with agile software development methodologies, product management tools, and project management software.
