Team Introduction
The Security Engineering team is a research and development (R&D) team that operates within the broader Security and Risk Control Organization. Their core responsibility is to construct, implement, and sustain secure infrastructures, platforms, and technologies. In addition, they provide support to cross-functional teams within the organization. The team's ultimate objective is to serve and safeguard TikTok products and infrastructures on a global scale.

About the role:
As the Head of AI for Security, you will be responsible for leading our team in developing advanced AI models and algorithms to address complex security challenges. You will leverage your deep domain knowledge about AI and/or security to research, innovate, lead and influence global teams in applying AI technology to the security domain. You will be working with a cross-functional team of engineers, and security experts to design, develop and deploy innovative AI solutions that can improve our security infrastructures, detection and response, data security, data privacy, and other areas of security.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the research and development of advanced AI models and algorithms to address complex security challenges.
• Apply cutting-edge AI technologies to develop innovative AI solutions for security.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into our security products and services.
• Lead and influence our global team of AI developers and researchers to drive innovation and best practices.
• Collaborate with other research teams within the organization to share insights and expertise.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI technologies and apply them to improve our security solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user manuals.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on AI/Security, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
• Deep domain knowledge about AI technologies and/or information security.
• A strong background in AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Strong programming skills in generic programming languages such as Python or Golang.
• Experience leading teams of AI developers and researchers.
• Experience in applying AI technology to security domain is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
