Adjunct Instructor Of Economics

Young Harris College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position to begin in January 2024. Duties will primarily include online teaching ECON 1000 Fundamentals of Economics for Young Harris Early College. Young Harris Early College is the YHC dual-enrollment program in which high school students take college courses to receive transferable college credits while still earning credit toward high school graduation. The courses are pre-built in Moodle are 16-weeks long. The instructor is tasked with facilitating the courses, providing prompt, meaningful feedback and communicating frequently with students.

The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in Economics. A strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required. Candidate must be comfortable with technology and experience with Moodle is a plus. Course enrollments are capped at a reasonable size. Instructors are compensated per course.
