Required Qualification(s)

Depending on the courses the qualifications vary:

1) For EET 173, EET 175, EET 113, EET 211:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, OR other related field, AND with at least one of the following: (a) an Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, other related field (b) current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), OR © successful completion of a workshop offered by MSOE on instructional techniques for electronics bridge courses.


2) For ELT, ELC AND EET 170, 174, 115, 130, 212, 216, 223, 230, 299:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, OR other related field, which includes a minimum of at least thirty (30) semester hours equivalent in electronics, a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in electronics OR related fields.


3) For PLCs:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Automated Systems, Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology OR related field AND a at least two (2) years of industrial manufacturing experience in installing, programming, AND troubleshooting PLCs.

 

  • Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

  • Experience in post-secondary and/or corporate teaching.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
