Overview:The Sr Consultant & Actuary, Life Product Development is responsible for product design, recommending product selection and prioritization, and leading the actuarial ideation surrounding our Core Life and Executive Benefits insurance products.This position is part of the Actuarial exam-taking path.

At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Actuarial Consultant or Actuarial Sr Consultant. The title and salary will be determined based on experience and exam progressResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Approve Core Life and Executive Benefits product design.Make recommendations for Core Life and Executive Benefits product selection and prioritization.Develop and leverage internal and external relationships necessary to understand the individual life competitive landscape, successfully launch and service products, and compete and win.Responsible to make statements of actuarial opinion for Core Life and Executive Benefits filings with various state insurance departments.Qualifications:Fellowship in the Society of ActuariesMember of the American Academy of Actuaries5+ years of life product development and pricing experience for life or executive benefits productsDeveloped interpersonal and collaboration skills to interact with wide variety of people that is demanded by the job.
