Description:
TGG Accounting has partnered with a client in the Seattle area who is hiring a Corporate Controller/Accounting Manager who reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for leading and driving the monthly closing process and assisting the company with managing overall financial operations. The Controller/Accounting Manager will provide accurate information, including analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and is responsible for all financial reports. In addition, this position will direct and manage the organization's accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures, preparing financial statements, and reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own the accounting daily, bi-weekly, and month-end tasks and help set the department’s strategy and growth plans in line with the overall company goals and needs.
- Maintain an accurate cash flow forecast while expenses stay under control; highlight concerns or areas of cash stress based on growth plans.
- Provide timely and accurate financial insights, analysis of budgets, financial and operational data and trends; support the CEO in making the best financial and commercial decisions in line with the company’s growth strategy.
- Be fully responsible for the financial accounts of the business– including the month-end management accounts (and accompanying management information), as well as the year-end reviewed financial statements and all financial reporting made to the Board, shareholders, and external parties.
- Manage all business financial and cash forecasting, ensuring the CEO is fully informed monthly about the profitability and cash funding requirements resulting from the company’s business operations and future effect of the current strategy.
- Use financial information to constructively challenge business activity - either to increase profitability, improve efficiency, or increase shareholder value.
- Backbone: ensures reliability and integrity of financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other financial discipline;
- 5+ years progressive experience in a finance or accounting departments;
- ACA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred
- Prior healthcare field experience is an asset.
- Experience with a high growth PE or VC backed international business is an asset.
