Accounting Manager

LHH is assisting our Indianapolis not-for-profit client in their search for qualified Accounting Manger to add to their growing team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for general ledger review and reconciliation, financial report preparation and financial projections; along with overseeing accounts payable, payroll. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of reconciliations, processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and posting routine general ledger journal entries
  • Review invoices for accuracy, obtain appropriate authorization for payment and determine proper expense account allocations
  • Prepare biweekly payroll which includes setting up new employees, adjusting existing employees, verifying timecards, tracking time off balances, determining proper allocation of employee expense reimbursements, and calculating various other pay and fringe benefits
  • Facilitate completion of monthly financial statements for organization
  • Provide staff with budget vs. actual expense comparison spreadsheets monthly
  • Maintain fixed asset detail using fixed asset software

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Experience processing payroll for a small to mid-sized company preferable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software (Financial Edge helpful)
  • Experience in human resources preferable
