Description:
GreatSchools is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Account Manager to join our team. This fully remote position, open to candidates nationwide, requires occasional travel. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Account Manager will be instrumental in amplifying our mission-driven work by driving business development, managing relationships, and innovating our earned revenue generation strategies in education data and media solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Business Development:
- Develop and execute targeted marketing and sales plans for enterprise-level, subscription-based solutions and media.
- Identify, assess, and capitalize on business opportunities within and broadening our audience of real estate partners, universities, schools and districts, education technology providers, government agencies, and education policy makers.
Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across GreatSchools ecosystem, including internal and external influencers, channel partners, education administrators, c-level executives, data scientists, and researchers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Be the voice of the consumer of our Earned Revenue solutions to inform and influence organizational and product strategy.
Data-Driven Earned Revenue Strategy:
- Leverage technology, including HubSpot, to develop and implement data-informed sales strategies, scale capacity, optimize performance, and achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to refine and optimize sales approaches and regularly report on progress to goals.
Innovative Media and Advertising Sales:
- Drive new media and advertising sales initiatives, aligning with the mission of GreatSchools.
- Explore innovative ways to integrate media offerings into the family education landscape.
Remote Collaboration:

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of proven experience in enterprise B2B marketing and sales, with a focus on education technology, data and research, and/or advertising media.
- Track record driving revenue growth in SaaS subscription-based and recurring business from $1M to $5M.
- Hands-on expertise with modern sales and marketing technology including forecasting and performance monitoring, building playbooks and sequences, and running targeted campaigns in HubSpot.
- Intrinsic motivation to excel and learn, coupled with a passion for mission-driven work.
