Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Outside Sales Representative for our Southeastern US area. Customers are located in Louisville, KY, Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga, TN, and Atlanta, GA for Stainless steel. The ideal candidate will be able to prospect, sell, and manage sales opportunities in the stainless and automotive markets. Must have the ability to effectively deal with all organizational levels. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Maintaining contact with established customers and develop new prospects in the Northeastern US and portions of Canada.
- Analyzes customer's needs and find solutions using all resources made available by the company.
- Must be able to communicate quality and delivery issues and coordinate problem resolution and performance improvement.
- Deliver excellent customer service in person, on phone, or through email and social media communications.
- Work closely as part of a sales team, including quotes and orders with inside sales team.
- Achieve sales and margin targets. Proactive involvement in strategic planning and sales forecasting.
- Develop sales opportunities for stainless steels in the Northeastern US. Travel is required.
- Collaborate, network, & sell to professionals within the stainless and automotive industry.
- Represent organization at industry functions and trade shows.
- Maintain an awareness of pricing and industry market conditions.
- Provide pricing and product availability to all customers.
- Account management: Manages overall performance of our products and services to the customer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to process all sales quotations, and sales orders for assigned territory.
- Ability to set and manage priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Negotiation Skills.
- Focus on meeting quote deadlines.
- Proactive involvement in sales, margins, and business development targets.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company products, capacity, and constraints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
