Account Manager

 

Description:


This is an existing territory looking for a great sales leader to build relationships with current customers and open new business. The customer base is diverse – anyone with moving parts is a potential customer including grain, refineries, food processing, sand & gravel, manufacturing, service industries, government agencies, institutions, and more.

If you can talk with everyone from the CEO to the maintenance team on the shop floor, we want to talk with you!
This position reports directly to our General Manager.

  • Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by opening new business
  • Identify product applications and services to support customer needs and present solutions
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for customers
  • Monitor customer complaints, follow up on outstanding orders, and make emergency calls, night calls, and deliveries as required

 


Requirements

 


  • 1+ yr outside industrial sales experience
    OR 2+ yrs customer service in industrial distribution OR purchasing / maintenance / tool crib experience in an industrial environment
  • New business development and managing a sales territory experience a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong desire to succeed and make money
  • Written and verbal communication skills including English grammar
  • Computer skills and knowledge, including Excel
  • Power transmission, hydraulics, and/or bearings product experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (MVR)
